Booking confirmation message checklist
Use this before sending or automating a booking confirmation for a mobile or appointment based service business.
Confirm the basics
- Client name and contact route are correct.
- Service, date, time, and location are clear.
- The message says whether the appointment is confirmed, requested, or waiting for approval.
- The business name is recognisable.
Reduce follow up
- Preparation notes are short and specific.
- Access, parking, forms, pets, children, documents, or equipment notes are requested before the visit day.
- The customer knows how to change or cancel.
- Payment, deposit, or invoice expectations are stated where relevant.
Protect reminders
- The confirmation explains what reminder messages to expect.
- SMS avoids sensitive details that do not need to be in a text.
- Marketing consent is separate from operational appointment messages.
- Exceptions are reviewed weekly so templates improve.
